About Adult third culture kids’ suitability as expatriates
This qualitative study interviewed eight adult TCKs to explore themes of adult TCK suitability for overseas residence. Three key themes were identified: a quest for belonging, an ability to fit in, and an adeptness at adjusting to new places. ATCKs perceived themselves as being well-suited for international residence because of the childhood experiences gained as TCKs. The implication is TCKs might make suitable and effective expatriates as adults. Published in the Review of International Business and Strategy.
