This comprehensive review covers TCK characteristics as established in the literature and the specific repatriation challenges TCKs face at university. Of particular value: survey data from Schulz (1985) documenting what TCKs themselves said they needed most from university reentry programs. Top priorities were: help finding self, introduction to a listening person, updates on American social life, introduction to other TCKs/MKs, adjusting to American lifestyle, and career guidance. The review found few universities explicitly offered special orientation services to TCKs. Available free via University of Minnesota open repository.
