About Evaluating Impact of Transition Seminars on MKs Depression, Anxiety, Stress and Well-being
This 2010 study evaluated the impact of a transition seminar on missionary kids' (MKs) depression, anxiety, stress, and wellbeing. Participants took surveys at the beginning of the training and again at the end, 12 days later. The study found positive pre-post changes on all measured mental health outcomes. Widely cited as the closest study to measuring the direct impact of TCK reentry training on mental health. A key limitation noted by later researchers is the short 12-day reflection window. Published in the Journal of Psychology and Theology.
