About Family Involvement in PSE: International Schools Easing Transition of Mobile Families
This study examined the impact of family involvement in personal and social education (PSE) training with students at an international school in England. Forty-five families participated in a mixed-methods study. Three themes emerged: the value of PSE for supporting transitions, the complexity of relationships between parents and adolescent children in transition, and the importance of addressing individual needs. The study highlighted the value of schools bringing families together to work through PSE during transition periods and recommended schools take a more active role in family transition support.
